“第九期家长课堂—社会实践活动在申请中的重要意义”如期开展
12月20日下午，在国际项目办公室李元元老师的主持下，以“社会实践活动在申请中的重要意义”为主题的第九期家长课堂活动在演播厅会议室如期开展。
有规划的、持续性的、深入的参与到的社会活动中来，更有利于体现学生的个人特质，进而赢得外国大学的招生官的青睐。通过做自己擅长或热爱的事，回赠社区和社会，符合国外大学人才选拔与培养的理念。此次家长课堂以“社会实践活动解读”为主题，李元元老师就国际项目办公室的工作职责以及学生如何备考国外院校申请的相关问题，在寒假之前的关键时期，与来自高一、高二的学生家长们展开了细致详尽的讲解和沟通。

Activities such as experiential learning and community service are an important reflection of students’ extracurricular activities. Well-planned, long-lasting and in-depth participation can better reflect the personal characteristics of students to win the favor of admissions officers. Doing what you are good at or passionate about to give back to the community and society is in line with the concept of talent selection and cultivation of overseas universities. During the activity, Ms.Li Yuanyuan introduced the job responsibilities of Office of International Programs and showed the way about how students prepare applications for foreign institutions with parents in detail, at the crucial moment before the winter holiday.
