The BRFLS Chinese Department just created an innovative learning tool: Poem Deposit Books to help students learn poetry.
The deposit books are carefully and beautifully designed. Students can become “examiners”and test their peers’ ability to recite the poems. The “examinees” need to write down the title, proficiency level, test date and the examiner’s name on the book if they pass the recitation.
This cool idea immediately became very popular among students. They fell in love with this creative way of learning poetry and now they enjoy competing with each other to see who can memorize the most Chinese poems. Therefore, students will enjoy reading and memorizing these poems in their spare time.
Teachers have incorporated this interesting “level-passing” method into the study of poetry, which was a difficult subject for students traditionally. Students can now become more passionate about poetry because of the deposit books. In addition, they can win prizes at the end of the semester based on the points that they earn.
Let’s try to predict the future winners!
